What's In My Makeup Bag - March

Hello Lovelies!

I love to read What's In My Makeup Bag posts and have a nosy at what everyone is wearing or loving right now, I'm always switching my makeup bags and changing my products so I have decided to show you all what I am currently using and what is in my makeup bag this month.

The makeup bag that i'm currently using is this Ted Baker one, I bought this from ASOS a couple of years ago now but it's one of my favourites. The makeup bag is baby pink and I love the signature grey Ted Baker bow that it features on front.

Here is what my current makeup bag includes:

For my face I start of using No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream (not pictured above) then the primer I'm using is the No7 Airbrush Away Primer this is great if you want your skin to look flawless and blends out pores. To help cover my dark circles and any imperfections I use Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in shade light and for any redness I use a Primark CC Concealer in Green which hides the redness perfectly. For my foundation my favourite at this moment is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat' Le Teint Liquid Foundation the shade is use is BR20 and I pair this with the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat' Concealer and Highlighter in shade 1 and use this to highlight my undereye area. This is also perfect for those lazy no make up days as it helps to reduce my dark eye circles. For my bronzer I use the Benefit Hoola Bronzer the blusher I'm currently using is from the MAC Mariah Carey Collection and is the shade Sweet Sweet Fantasy and to finish I use the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in shade Opal Glow.

Moving onto the eye area my ultimate favourite eye primer is the Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer this makes my eyeshadow last all day with no creasing. I am using the MUA Undress Me Too Palette for my eyeshadows as it has some lovely brown shades which I tend to wear more off. When it comes to eyeliner I don't wear it everyday and I'm still trying to get the hang of flick haha! As i'm still practicing I have been using the Natural Collection Liquid Liner in Black as it is only cheap! (Unfortunatly I can't seem to find this online) For my mascara I am using 2 at the moment one being Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara and the other being Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara both in shades black by using both mascaras this helps my lashes look more fuller and longer. For my brows I use Lancôme Le Crayon Eyebrow Pencil in shade Brun.

Lastly to finish off for my lips I start off using a lip balm to help soften as I do suffer with dry/chapped lips, I'm using the Nivea Hydracare Lip Balm and finally we are onto the lip colour, I have so many lipsticks to choose from so every day is different really but for the last couple of days I have using the Essense Longlasting Lipstick in shade Cool Nude.

Annnnnnd that's it! That is everything that I'm currently using at the moment although I'll probably end up changing it tomorrow haha.

Bobbi Brown "Party Picks" Set

I recently came across this beautiful Bobbi Brown set whilst I was buying another Bobbi Brown product in Debenhams, I thought I would be good and not buy this as I am supposed to be saving money but a couple of weeks later I was browsing online and noticed Debenhams had a 10% off beauty event so whilst I was adding other items into my basket I thought I would have a nosey to see if they had this online and they did!

This is the Bobbi Brown "Bobbi's Party Picks" Cheek, Lip and Eye kit which normally is £70 but currently has 20% off so you can grab this for £65. If you also own a Debenhams beauty card you can earn up to 180 points.

The Bobbi’s Party Picks Kit is packaged within a black and gold gift box and each of the products are individually wrapped in black tissue paper. Inside the items that are included are:

- Highlighting powder in shade Opal Glow
- Black mascara
- Party Alice lip colour
- Crystal glitter lip gloss

These 4 items all come in this cute little patent burgundy make up bag which has Bobbi Brown embossed onto the front and once opened it is lined with a dark red suedette fabric.

All of the products named above are a curation of Bobbi’s must have party makeup pieces for the cheeks, lips and eyes.

This set is perfect if you want to treat a friend for their birthday, your mum on mother's day or even if you want to treat yourself like I did!

Keep an eye out for full reviews on each of these products.

The Library Of Fragrance - Sex On The Beach

I had first heard about The Library of Fragrance after seeing a blog post on the fragrance Baby Powder and I thought I would love to try out these different fragrances they are offering.

I picked up the scent Sex On The Beach, yes like the cocktail and it even smells just like it!

Here's a little bit about the company:

"The Library of Fragrance products are produced by New York-based company, Demeter Fragrance Library Inc.

Originally established in 1996, Demeter set out to create fragrances that captured all the wonderful smells that surround us every day, but are too often under appreciated in our busy, pressured, multi-tasking world. The first three scents belonging to the collection – Dirt, Grass and Tomato – were launched at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. With the brand quickly gathering a loyal cult following, the concept soon expanded to include an even broader range of smells – no matter how odd or unusual – and scents such as Gin & Tonic, Baby Powder and even Play-Doh began to populate the library"

The bottle is 30ml sized and is perfect for popping in your handbag to top up during the day or in your clutch bag for a night out. The design is simple and each fragrance has their own colour on the label.

The scent is fruity "an iced and inviting combination of vodka, fresh pineapple juice, a touch of raspberry liquor, a hint of melon liquor and a splash of cranberry" and brings back memories from past holidays sitting on the beach sipping cocktails. For me personally I find that this scent doesn't last all day so I do have to top up the odd times during the day.

The Library Of Fragrance colognes can be layered to create different scents which is something that other brands of perfume don't offer. I love the idea that you can mix and match two or more different scents to create your own unqiue fragrance.

I would love to try out the other scents such as Pina Colada, Baby Powder and Fresh Coconut or even give layering the different frangrances a go.

Today, these products are sold in over 35 countries from Paris, to Moscow and even Hong Kong! There are over 300 unique fragrances in The Library of Fragrance collection and a total of 101 of these fragances are available here in the UK. A selection of these are avaliable to buy in Boots for £15.00

What are your favourite scents from the range?

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

Who doesn't love a smoky eye? Well this palette is perfect for creating that go to look for a night out or even just an everyday smoky eye!

I am a big fan of the Urban Decay Naked palettes ever since I recieved the Naked 2 Palette for my 18th birthday. So when this came out I just knew I had to add it to my collection.

The packaging is made of plastic and has a magnetic opening. I personally prefer this packaging to the rest of the Naked palettes.

Once you open the palette up there is a full sized mirror, a double ended smoky smudger/tapered crease brush and it includes a mix of 12 shades which are matte, satin and shimmer.

"Experiment with warm bronzes, dimensional grays, rich browns and deep blacks"

The shades in this palette are:

- High
- Dirty Sweet
- Radar
- Armour
- Slanted
- Dagger
- Black Market
- Smoulder
- Password
- Whiskey
- Combust
- Thirteen

I feel that all these shades are wearable even for a day to day look. The shades are highly pigmented and the blend well. The only thing I have found is sometimes I have a bit off fallout when I use the shade Armour so either tap off any excess or do your eye makeup before your foundation.

What is different about this palette is that Smoky contains a step by step guide for various different looks. Which includes: Iconic UD Smoky Eye, Smoky Reality Star, Smoky Cat and Everyday Smoky. The guide is easy to follow as it tells you step by step what to do regarding which shade, where to apply and what brush to use. This is great for inspiration and getting to play around with the different shades.

For me personally I do prefer the more brown/nude/pinky tones (which are found in the Naked 1,2 & 3 palettes) for my day to day makeup but I'm loving using this one for a bit more of a dramatic look on a night out. I would love them to also bring out a palette for purple/burgundy shades as I think that would be perfect for autumn/winter time.
